Price Headley
Price Headley is the founder and chief analyst of BigTrends.com, a Duke University graduate, a CFA charterholder and a member of the Market Technicians Association. He wrote Big Trends in Trading (Wiley, 2002) and developed the Acceleration Bands indicator.
What they argue
- The biggest gains come from stocks in an acceleration phase, so capital should rotate into the fastest movers and out again when acceleration ends.
- Two consecutive closes outside the band mark a runaway move; one close back inside says the acceleration period is probably over.
